At App Ditto, we believe your personal and professional data belongs entirely to you. This Privacy Policy describes how App Ditto (the "Extension") handles information when you use our browser extension.
1. Information Collection and Storage
App Ditto is designed to respect your privacy.
Local Storage: All personal and professional data you input into the Extension—including names, contact details, work histories, education records, and custom Q&A text—is stored locally on your own device using your browser's secure local storage API. We do not host, store, copy, or have access to this information on external servers.
Account and Billing Data: To manage premium subscription features, App Ditto uses a secure third-party service called ExtensionPay (which operates via Stripe). When you create an account or sign up for a premium plan, ExtensionPay processes your email address, payment status, and account registration timestamps. Your financial payment information (like credit card numbers) is handled entirely by Stripe and never passes through or touches App Ditto.
2. How We Use Data
The Extension interacts with your browser's active web page content solely to perform its core function: auto-filling job application forms at your explicit request when you click the fill button. Your data is never analyzed, aggregated, or read for any other purpose.
3. Data Transfer and Third Parties
No Data Selling: We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer your personal or professional data to any third-party companies, advertising networks, or data brokers.
Approved Services: The only external data transfer that occurs is the encrypted authentication check between the Extension and ExtensionPay to verify your license or free trial status.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your application profiles are stored directly in your browser's local storage, you have total control over your data. If you wish to delete your data, you can clear your extension storage, delete the data directly from the Extension popup, or uninstall App Ditto from your browser. Doing so permanently deletes your local records.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates to browser requirements or core services. Any changes will be updated on this page with a revised effective date.
